At Pierpont you can learn the way of the blade just like centuries ago. Join us as Captain Mike teaches with a passion that will enagage your spirits in the art of swordplay.

Here you can explore our club and find out what all our excitement is about. The sport of swordplaying isn't just a game of two metal objects hitting flesh, it's a puzzle of mind, body and blade, working together in calculated moves to score a touch. In the words of Captain Mike, "It's chess on wheels.". Fencing is fast paced, giving your body and mind a great workout. Fencing is one of the very few sports where honor and respect for yourself, your opponent, the directors and the audience is held in high regard. We all help each other and in each other we learn.

Pierpont Fencing Club is a member of the USFA. Captain Mike is trained in all three weapons(foil,epee,sabre), as well as stage fight choreography. Because of the ease of learning the rules of epee as opposed to foil and sabre, we are mostly an epee fencing facility, however arrangements can be made to learn the other weapons. Epee is also the style of fencing most like a real duel. We offer two strips, both equiped with electronic scoring machines for all three weapons, an environment surrounded by the way of the sword, friendly members and of course a Captain who loves fencing both in work and in play.
